Short summaries of three articles that will hopefully whet your curiosity:
This issue focuses on DNA, including its interpretation and some surprising information that it has revealed.
Family Tree – The author’s complicated childhood and parental relationships were further challenged by the results of her DNA test. The ensuing journey to find her true identity and family makes for a compelling story of acceptance and forgiveness.
Secret Identity – An enigmatic email arrives from an unknown family member who was adopted at birth. Some detective work to identify his biological parents has reconnected him to the family who didn’t know he existed.
DNA says you are related to a Viking, a medieval German Jew, or a 1700s enslaved Africa? -- This scholarly article written by geneticists explains what your DNA results really mean when you look back to more and more distant generations.
