Shared Interest Groups (SIG) are small, informal groups of HGF members who share information and discuss new developments of interest to the group. Each SIG has a leader who arranges for the time and date, meeting format (in-person or online), Zoom session, video projector, and other resources which may be needed for the meeting. The SIG leader may also identify a topic of interest to the group for the next SIG session and a member of the group who will lead that session.
Current HGF SIGs include:
- DNA SIG no longer meets. Presentations for the DNA SIG may be accessed at DNA SIG.
- Roots Magic SIG meets the second Tuesday of each month, virtually, during the pandemic . Exceptions to these meeting dates will be posted in the menu item.
For more infomation about these SIGs, please see the menu items which follow.
If you have a genealogy topic you're especially interested in and would like help to form a new SIG, please send us an email at info@hgftx.org .
